Clinton was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. So many of us have been blessed by his life (some of my favorite memories are throwing a football together, eating his home-cooked ribs, taking pictures with Photobooth Fella, and hanging out / BBQ-ing on the block). There are countless more treasured memories that we all have shared.
Clinton passed away on May 6, 2020 due to complications from the COVID-19 virus. We are all deeply saddened by having to part ways so suddenly, but also draw hope and joy from Clinton's trust in Jesus. This is not truly "good-bye", but instead a "see-you-later" for when God will renew and restore all things.
In our collective care are Joanlie, Clinton's wife, and their two sons, Buhba (Israel, 4) and Bars (Elijah Kyi, 1.5). He also leaves his mother, Joanne, and sister, Faith Gaskins. This next season is certainly not an easy one, but we want to show particular love and care to Joanlie and the boys. One way we can all do this is by raising funds toward Clinton's memorial costs and the family's future expenses, especially as the Washingtons have lost Clinton as their primary income-earner. A funeral can cost upwards of $15,000 and there will be additional travel expenses for his burial in Virginia. Please consider coming alongside the Washingtons during this time by making a monetary donation.
Additional funds not used by funeral and memorial expenses will go towards the Washington family's next steps.
