Veggie Thumper Food Bus!

Lyssa Wade aka Veggie Thumper

How did we get here?
It started with knowledge of food and self.  Then came the gardens and organic deodorants and skincare.  From there came more gardens, more cooking, more self reliance, more building, chickens, life lessons and self love and rallies to help further promote knowledge that I once had to dig to seek. Then came the idea to provide a service that I desired and others do too.  With that I began leaping, desiring and investing in what I believed in, my dreams and my goals to help finish what I had now adopted as a full blown lifestyle.

2016, I bought a 1981 international school bus and I’ve invested nearly every penny I have and its working… Slowly but, steady n’ surely.  Now, I desire to soar after all the leaping the time is here I am ready. I am asking you to help me complete my goals of being fully operation.   I’ve spoken at length with the bus and we both agreed we are ready! we’ve got work to do. Events, festivals outside of offices, schools and more. Lets grow some veggies and eat some veggies. Lets thump!

A bit about the fire that burns within my vessel
I am raising consciousness through food awareness.  By providing access to high quality organic and locally grown vegetarian and vegan cuisine. From savory to sweet, from bbq, seafood and soul food to raw and allergy based walks.  I got this!   I desire to assist in opening the gates to those who are interested in lifestyle changes, those who may not know where to start, how to stay on track or those who are open to trying something new and to my diehards who would like to have the option available on a regular basis. Consider this buses purpose to change the way people view food.

The Needs:
My desire is to complete what I have heavily invested in I fully believe in and am passionate about.

The bus still needs; new tires, a stove and ansul system with hood, a tank less water heater and a  freezer and one more prep fridge.  Once everything is installed, I can acquire full licensing and can show the streets of  Des Moines and surrounding areas for now just how feel good and flavorful  fresh veggies and plantbased eats and the likes can be.  The sooner my goals are be achieved the sooner I can complete my goals of showing a wider demographic a different perspective on food.

The When
Realistically I would love to be fully operation licensed and providing grab n go options and catering over the winter months by November I would love to be firing up the oven and griddles on a daily basis!  The support means the world to me and to those who are seeking something that Des Moines Iowa doesn’t currently offer all the time..

Gratitude
Know that every share and or penny counts. Peoples considerations warms my heart.  Rome wasn’t built overnight and neither was my lifestyle or this bus, everything takes time.  I truly appreciate you checking me out, supporting me, sharing my story of how I wanted more for us all. Thank-you to those who have supported and shopped with me or stood by my side or shared knowledge with me.  Thank you for all those who have been there from day one.  From the deeps of the most intense looking skies gratitude for each of you! Wouldn’t be this far without you. Peace n love n veggies.

If you would like to find the bus at the next few pop-ups look for me at Yoga on the Farm Sept. 23 and Iowa Veg Fest on Sept. 24 and Taco Fest Oct. 7.   You can follow along on www.Veggiethumper.com Facebook Veggie Thumper or Instagram @Veggiethumper
