This is my baby Vega. He was born on St. Patrick’s Day in 2010, which makes him 15 years old. For the past decade and a half, Vega has been my constant companion through life’s greatest joys and deepest heartbreaks.
Vega truly is the best boy. He has never met a person or animal he didn’t want to befriend. He is the most gentle, loving dog I’ve ever known, and his kind heart has touched everyone around him.
As some may know, Vega has been battling arthritis for some time. He’s fought bravely against the challenges of aging, but each day is becoming harder for him and it is heartbreaking seeing him struggle. I know the time is near for him to be at peace, free from pain, and cross the Rainbow Bridge.
I am reaching out because I’m in desperate need of help to make his final moments as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Vega can barely walk now and becomes very anxious at the vet, so my hope is to have this done at home, where he feels safe and loved. I want his last moments to be filled with comfort, not fear.
I am currently in a financial bind so any assistance to help cover the costs of at-home euthanasia and cremation would mean more to me than words can express. At-home euthanasia would cost $275 while the cremation would cost $280. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face, and I’m so grateful for any support during this time.
