We are working with the Raju Family to support their continued work in aiding the elderly, immunocompromised, and poverty-stricken families in their hometown of Hyderabad and all across India.

Since the start of the pandemic, the Raju family has been helping the locals of Hyderabad combat COVID by:

- Preparing cooked meals at their family farm and distributing them to families in need (200 meals per day)
- Offering Ayurvedic consultations and herbal preparations (rasayana), free of charge (all are welcome, no one is turned away)
- Providing herbal medicine kits for at-risk families to maintain strong immune systems, decrease risk of transmission, and reduce viral load
- Donating herbal preparations to Ram Dev Rao Hospital, a low-cost allopathic (Western) trust hospital in Hyderabad

With your contribution, the Raju family will grow their reach and impact by:

(1)  Increasing their distribution of home-cooked meals to 1,000+ per day
(2)  Directly delivering additional emergency kits and herbal preparations (rasayana) in Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi
(3)  Contributing cash donations to Ram Dev Rao Hospital for acquiring additional resources and PPE supplies
(4)  Providing additional consults by phone for treatment and recovery

A USD 100 contribution supports an at-risk family of 5 with home-cooked meals, prepared fresh daily, and herbal preparations for one week.

About Dr. J.R. Raju and His Family

Dr. J.R. Raju, affectionately known as Father Raju, or Rajuji, opened his first clinic in Hyderabad, India, in 1978 when he was 24 years old. Seven years later, he was invited to meet Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at the inaugural meeting of Ayurvedic Doctors at Maharishi's ashram in Delhi. From that day forward, Father Raju trained alongside the greatest masters of Ayurveda and traveled extensively worldwide, teaching students and treating patients.

He served as Maharishi's personal Vaidya, or Ayurvedic doctor, for 23 years.

As many of you know, Father Raju is a close and dear friend of our teacher, Thom Knoles . They spent many years together alongside Maharishi. Father Raju's joyful laughter and light of knowledge inspire us to discover who and what we are, and teach us how to apply the principles of Ayurveda to live to our full potential.

Father Raju's three children, Dr. Harsha, Dr. Pavani, and Dr. Aditya, have been studying Ayurveda from their father, mother, and grandparents, from the time they learned how to speak. They represent the seventh generation of Ayurvedic masters in their lineage. Dr. Harsha, Dr. Pavani, and Dr. Aditya traveled to Europe with their father and mother and studied directly under Maharishi and other living masters of Ayurveda, such as Dr. Balraj Maharshi and Dr. Brihapasti Dev Triguna.
