Where do I even begin, but before I do, I need you to know that having to resort to a gofundme page, is not where I want to be in life. But I need help. I really need help.
I had a career set, and unfortunately, with many others, The COVID19 pandemic has turned my world upside down. As a hospitality professional, finding work is not easy. As there were no jobs in Hawaii, I had to move to Las Vegas. After two months of no job, my Unemployment Benefits have ceased, no income at all. Fortunately, December 31st was my 4th interview for a career I have dreamed of, and we will see how that goes. That is the only thing I have to look forward to and I am praying. Now lets get to why I am really posting this, the care of my mom.
On December 22nd, my mom was rushed to the Emergency Room because of a bad fall. She has a severe debilitating case of Rheumatoid Arthritis, where she is at a point where she can barely move. When I left, with the help of her Home Nurse aids, she was fine, but the RA, has seemed to progress in the 2 months I have been gone.
Right now, she is in a Physical Therapy Rehab, she will be there for 45 days. We are hoping with Retuxin Treatments and PT, she will be back to her mobile state. owever, this is short term. We have two choices, Hire a live in Aid, or move mom with me to Las Vegas, she is not happy about that. A foster care home, is not an option, as my mother has stated, she would rather die. That breaks my heart.
To come here to care for mom, I had to use the money I saved for an apartment in Las Vegas, as I needed to vacate my dwelling January 5th. My flight back to Las Vegas is January 6th, with no where to live.
THe Doctors want me to come back, Janaury 30th, to assess my mom, and figure out the long term plan.
I have her dog, ( this part puts me in tears) Chloe is her emotional companion, and I want to take her back with me. to Las Vegas, as we have no one to care for her.
The story is sad, and so much more to say, but I think you getthe point, Here you have her son, who has sacrificed so much for my moms well being, but putting my life on hold. My fute is at my grasp, but I cannot abandon my mom . I am asking for help, so I dont have to stress financially, and take care of the things I need to take care of
