Brian St. John's Journey to Recovery Fund

Hello all, we're Brian's sisters, Melanie & Lisa, but, enough about us!

On Thursday, May 30th, Brian had a terrible fall at work.
It's now been 10 days since the fall. We've seen milestones and setbacks, and through it all, Brian has mostly stayed positive and focused on his recovery. He has had his moments of worrying about his future and what that might look like and understands that this will be a long journey, with no guarantee of the end results.
But! If you know Brian, you know he has incredible inner strength and determination! He is not the man you say, "You might not be able to do this," because he will prove you wrong! He has overcome every challenge life has thrown at him, and believe me, there have been a lot! Each time achieving and exceeding his goals quietly, with not a care in the world about anyone else being aware of them! Because, he's not a shout it from the rooftop kind of guy!
In the 10 days he's been in the hospital, there have been many Xrays, CT Scans, Ultra Sounds, and MRI's, it was found that he has multiple traumatic injuries.
He had 2 shattered discs and 2 fractured vertebrae in his neck. An amazing surgeon named Dr. Pearl was able to remove the shattered discs that were pressing against his spinal cord and clean out all the debris in the affected areas. Thankfully, she didn't see any lacerations to the spinal cord.
He has 2 fractured vertebrae in the thoracic spine.
He has 3 broken ribs on his right side and 2 on his left. This has made it very difficult for him to breath on his own.
He is able to move his left arm, and to feel our touch in his right arm, but has no movement in it yet, most likely due to all the swelling and bruising in it.
He is able to feel our touch on both legs, and can push back against our hands when he wants to.
The recovery for this newest challenge in his life, is going to be much different! We will celebrate every single milestone he achieves! We will proudly shout it from the rooftops! And, we really want to be there for him as much as we possibly can!
The next phase of his recovery, will be at Mary Freebed in Grand Rapids, MI. We have no idea how long he will be there, because the doctor's have no idea how long his recovery will take. This is where y'all could be a tremendous help to our family! Please consider donating to cover medical, financial, and travel expenses while he is away from his family, his fur babies, and his home, which is his favorite place to be!
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and helping with this next chapter in Brian's life. We greatly appreciate all the love and support! Please keep all the prayers and healing energy heading his way as he takes this next journey!
