Open Heart Surgery

Hi, my name is Maha Ghannam. I had a cardiac ablation surgery on 07/28/2023 and an open heart surgery on 11/06/2023.

Here’s my story:

Few years ago I started getting fast heart beats and every time that happened I had to go to the ER, I even passed out one time. I thought this was happening to me cause I suffer from anxiety disorder, that’s why I never took it seriously. This year (2023) I started getting a lot of heart pain + headaches and sudden dizziness and in less than 3 weeks I went twice to the ER cause of fast heart beats. I went to see a cardiologist and when they did the echocardiogram they found a big hole in my heart (2.4cm - 24mm) It’s a birth defect however, some people start getting symptoms in their adulthood.
