I'm sorry to say that our Chrissy, my big brother, and friend/family to so many of you, had a major seizure on Monday at work. After rushing him to the hospital and many tests and MRI's later, it turned out to be brain tumor. As far as brain tumors go, the doctors are saying this is not "an angry" one and it looks as positive as can be. He is anxiously waiting to have surgery on Tuesday in Anchorage to remove it.
The recovery is about two months, which honestly means no income for the Stainbrook family, as Mup (with help and support from family and friends) will be the main caretaker for Chris and their three precious girls. Now, she's one tough cookie, but this is exactly the type of situation where she needs our help and support.
I know we all wish they were closer or we were closer, so we could take care of Chris, bring them dinners, clean their house, help the girls get to school (and all their extra curricular activities) and just surround them with love. It breaks my heart, but this is not the case since most of us are thousands of miles away.
While I'm not terribly excited about a Go Fund Me, feeling hopeless and helpless is something I just cannot bear. Since we are so far away this is one way to help them feel the love and lessen the burden. Between all the medical bills, flights to and from Anchorage, driving, gas, doctors appointments, time off work and trying to keep the girls' (my precious nieces) lives somewhat normal, any donation is truly appreciated but not expected. I know they have heard all your positive messages and feel the love and support all the way up in Alaska.
If you can help please do (cause you know they would) and if not, just send love and supportive vibes their way because honestly they can feel it.
Thank you all so much.
