Maria's journey has been filled with immense challenges, starting with the heart-wrenching diagnosis of stage three breast cancer on June 28, 2023. This devastating news came at a time when she was still mourning the loss of her beloved twin brother, who tragically passed away earlier that year.

Despite enduring several rounds of rigorous chemotherapy treatments and a critical surgical procedure to remove a sizable mass, Maria's path to recovery took an unexpected turn when she experienced a life-threatening pulmonary embolism. This complication has added further obstacles to her already arduous battle against cancer.

Currently, Maria is undergoing radiation therapy and will require two more challenging operations as part of her ongoing treatment plan. Throughout it all, Maria has shown incredible strength, resilience, and unwavering optimism. She firmly believes in her ability to overcome this disease and regain her health and vitality.

However, alongside her health struggles, Maria faces the additional challenge of supporting her son, who is a full-time college student. Balancing the demands of academics while worrying about his mother's well-being puts an enormous strain on him. Despite these challenges, Maria's son remains determined to pursue his education, reflecting the family's unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.

As Maria focuses on her journey to recovery, we recognize the significant financial burden that comes with medical expenses and other associated costs.
