The world lost the coolest kid on earth on November 13, 2015, when 17 year old John “Jay” Skylar Johnson was murdered in his home by people he thought were his friends. Four offenders have been apprehended, and justice will be swift.
Jay will be best remembered by his quick wit, his compassion for life, and a love for his family and friends. Jay had a way with words; he could uplift anyone around him with his compassionate words and empathy for others. He had a passion for his music which he loved to share with others. We will miss his sunny smile and bright laughter.
Jay’s truly belived that he had the ability to change the world for the better. His favorite saying was “If I Shine, We All Shine.” The family is asking you all to do so as a legacy to honor Jay's memory.
I'm setting up this Go-Fund-Me account in the name of "Vivid Change", which was Jay’s Facebook page. Could you please help? Your donations will go directly to his Grandmother, Shari Mattson-Cooper, to assist the family with medical and final expenses. Every donation will be so gratefully appreciated by Jay's family and friends.
Thank you.
