Help give Alice Niragira a Dignified Farewell

In loving memory of Alice Niragira, a friend and sister originally from Burundi, who embarked on a new chapter in Nairobi, Kenya, with her devoted husband, Nepomuscene. On December 24th 2023, Alice joyously welcomed a healthy baby into the world through a C-section at PCEA KIKUYU Hospital.

However, tragedy struck a week later when Alice developed viral meningitis, affecting her brain. In the face of this medical challenge, on December 31st, 2023, she was placed in a medically induced coma to receive treatment. Despite everyone's hopes and efforts, Alice peacefully passed away on February 2nd, 2024.

During this tumultuous period, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who supported us financially, morally, and emotionally. Your kindness meant the world to us.

Yet, we find ourselves reaching out once more. While we received tremendous support when she was still hospitalized, Alice's outstanding medical bills amount to 2,477906 Kenyan shillings (approximately USD 17,000 or BIF 73,000,000 or 26,000 Australian Dollars). Regrettably, the hospital refuses to release Alice's body until this debt is settled.

We humbly ask for your assistance to give Alice the dignified burial she deserves. Nepomuscene, her grieving husband, is unable to cover the substantial medical expenses alone.
