Hope & Healing for Jessica
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Megan Robinson and I’ve started this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend, Jessica Dabic.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica about a year ago. Jessica, her husband Goran and beautiful baby girl live across the street from my husband and I and what started as neighbours soon grew into an amazing friendship.
Jessica was diagnosed in September 2020 with a grade IV Glioblastoma, just 4 months after giving birth to her little miracle. Since then, Jessica has been dedicated to her healing and fighting the odds of her diagnosis. As we all know, treatments are extremely expensive and Jessica now needs to seek further medical care in the US. No one should have a price tag on their life or feel like they can’t afford to survive.
If you are able and would like to donate, please know that your donation will help lessen the financial stress so that Jessica can focus on healing. Your donation will help to buy Jessica time through what we believe to be life saving supplements, treatments, medications and strict dietary needs. All of this provides Jessica time to heal, time with her husband, and what we know will be a full, beautiful and healthy lifetime with her daughter.
A Note from Jessica:
Now this is the story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down....
But in all seriousness, we could never have known what was coming. After our angel was born in May 2020, we thought we were living our happily ever after. Then September 2020 came and so did the craniotomy, a diagnosis of grade IV Glioblastoma, and a prognosis of 18 – 24 months to live... prior to my 34th birthday.
Words cannot begin to explain how incredibly grateful I am to each and every person that has helped me through this strange and trying journey. Whether you donated, said a prayer, sent a positive thought, reached out, or took the time to read this, it all means more than you could ever know. This is how we get through the day: The love and support of our family and friends and even the kindness of perfect strangers.
They said having a child likely wouldn’t happen, that the challenges were too great. Yet, here I am with my happy and healthy 17 month old. They said I had a shitty prognosis. Again, that the challenges are too great. So I guess I’ll just have to keep proving them wrong.
