This is Gary, also known as my Dad. A select few may know him as Deedpurds, but that is a story for another day. Like many who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, Dad’s small, home-based business was forced to close shop. After months of searching, he finally found a new job. Things finally started looking up for him. Unfortunately, taking his livelihood wasn’t enough; the coronavirus wasn’t through with Dad yet.
On Christmas Day, my Dad was admitted to the hospital. Doctors confirmed that he had COVID-19 and pneumonia.
The hospital has Dad on various treatments and they are optimistic he can go home soon. But due to the loss of his business and having only recently found work, money is scarce for him. He will have rent to pay, and food to buy.
In order to help offset these costs, I’ve set up this page and I am humbly asking for your help. Anything will help. I know other people are in similar situations, and my Dad isn’t anything special (to you) over them. But he is to me. Please consider my Dad at the close of the year.
