To those it may concern, friends and family of Roger Munoz Sr. Sadly and abruptly we must say goodbye to our father, grandpa, brother, uncle, son, cousin, and friend. He will be remembered by those who love him most and live through the memories and bonds built through a lifetime of laughter. He loved hard and spread it with a smile wherever he went. Living his life the way he wanted to, with his family. Never letting anything obstruct that goal or keep him from a good time.
Backyards and barbecues were his favorite places to be, bringing together as many people as possible, or watching the race, a game, or live PD. A diesel mechanic for 35 years and his personal relationship with God prepared him to always be willing to help those he could. Helping change some oil or giving his advice and opinions. Always willing and ready to help any who asked. Never met a stranger nor got overcharged for a thing in his life and regularly frequenting flea markets or open air malls. Traversing miles on his bicycle back and forth wherever he went day in and day out.
His heart was always torn between the east and the west coast, spending many years between the two. Never lingering in one spot too long before missing the other, living for his family. He loved and missed his mother constantly and regularly talked of her, his family, and his children. Later in life his grandson of the same name whom he lived with became his whole world. The two having their own daily routine with one another and and a bond stronger than any. He will live through him and his children in the years to come.
He is is survived by his mother Phyllis Tafolla, Brothers Henry, Joe, Joel, And Darlin Munoz, Jessie Aldridge, Sisters Lizzie Barnes and Evelyn L. Moore. Children Roger Munoz Jr, Kenneth Michael Munoz, Zacory David Goodale, and Jessica Jenkins.
With the abrupt nature of this tragedy we are left unprepared for not only the emotional but also the financial burden. We ask that anyone who can please donate to help and those who can’t please donate thoughts and love in this hard time. Thank you all, we love and miss you so much.
