Marissa’s Medical Bills
Life is a challenge for everyone and this was not any easy decision for me to make. However, after a lot of thought and drowning in medical bills I decided to open a Gofund me account.
Some of you may or may not be aware that I have been struggling with my health for a little over 2 years. Through those years I have had 3 trips to the ER, 2 hospital admissions, a lot of advanced testing, and 4 procedures including those undergoing general anesthesia. My last stay in the hospital was in July of 2020. During COVID-19 I had to have my gallbladder removed and be in the hospital alone with no visitors and no help for 4 days. Those 4 days in the hospital added up very quickly and I can no longer keep up with the hospital bills.
Also while going through testing I found out that I have an autoimmune disease called PBC. Which can eventually be pretty serious and lead to liver failure. I’m lucky that we found the disease early and I am currently on a very pricey daily medication that I have to take for the rest of my life.
Unfortunately I am still dealing everyday with a lot of abdominal pain even after the surgery. My doctors are continuing to troubleshoot but not sure why these problems persist. This means I’m not done with testing and I could really use your help with my medical bills.
I know this is a big ask and any amount you can donate is appreciated. Even if you cannot donate please share this through social media and email.
I appreciate your time to read this and thank you for your donations.
Much Love,
Marissa
