Help Ozzy recover

Hi my name is Nicole.

On Friday September the 13th 2024 my family dog Ozzy was hit by a car. He was rushed to NVEC where he spent two nights in in critical condition. He was released to us Sunday September the 15th 2024.

Ozzy is a shitzu-poodle and he is 6 years old. He is well loved by his family and everyone he meets. He likes to throw his treats and play with them to ensure they're really not alive before he will eat them. Every time my dad comes walking in the door, even if he has been out for just 10 minutes, Ozzy always shows the most excitement, jumping up and down and barking. He loves car rides and being wherever my dad is.

Ozzy has a severe concussion, and swelling in his brain. He is on three types of meds, and spends most of his time sleeping. My father has had to take time off work to be there for Ozzy and make sure he is recovering.

Ozzy can not be left alone because of his serious condition.

We all live in different places. Me and my sisters are all attending post secondary school, and working. It been very hard to get through this with the burdens of bills and school, and not having 24 hour care for him.

My sisters have maxed their credit cards, used their savings, and my father used all the money he had on hand to pay for his bills to save his life.

Ozzy is not out of the woods yet, he can still experience an emergency and need to go back any time. However we all hope that is not the case, and he still needs to go to regular weekly check ups at his regular vet and get refills for his medication.

Were asking for some financial relief so my father can take this time off work and be able to afford his bills, such as his insurance, rent, and car payments.

We also are looking to get my sisters their savings and credit cards back to normal.
