on the first day, and unloading the first box from my car into my new apartment, I tripped and fell and broke my shoulder in two separate places. It was painful anal and devastating to realize I would have to stop working and not be able to organize or get into my new home. Shortly after this I had a stroke, followed by other health complications which put me into the ICU at the local hospital. Apparently I look pretty bad, and I don't remember anything or much of anything. I was unconscious for about a week I'm told, and slowly began to wake up and start the process of recuperation. Initially I couldn't walk I couldn't even stand up. I couldn't think things through I had lost a lot of memory. If it were not for very good friends who felt something was wrong, and I don't know how they knew this, but they did, I wouldn't have been left for dead.
I started this campaign in order to help me get back on my feet as soon as possible. I am still at a rehab hospital and will be here perhaps another week or more and then I must do my best to put my life back together with just a common things we all need like a home, to get caught up on bills, etc.
I will have to retire, and although I do look forward to that retirement, I have nothing, virtually nothing to start again.
I hope that he would help and contribute what you can so that I can get back "on my feet again".
