Ayanna Austin was a brilliant, outgoing 13-year-old girl. She made friends easy and was loyal to them and her family. Thursday, May 21, the bright young girl disappeared on her way to school. She was found in a creek three days later behind the school. 

Her mother and father, Somha Peabody and James Austin, mourn the loss of their older child. Ayanna also leaves behind a loving little brother. They thank all those who have shared prayers and thoughts.

The family was not prepared for the sudden, tragic loss. They are asking help to lay their beloved daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin and friend to rest.
