Our home has become rubble, and our lives have turned into a tragedy…

We were four families living under one roof—a four-story house sheltering 25 people, including school and university students. This home was the fruit of many years of hard work by me and my brothers.

But the war spared nothing… Our house was completely destroyed, reduced to a pile of debris.

My father, the head of our family, lives with a disability and suffers from chronic health issues. He needs a wheelchair and constant care around the clock, in addition to medical treatments that we can no longer afford.

Abdulrahman, my nephew, is a 9-year-old boy who cannot speak. He used to receive psychological and rehabilitative therapy, which was halted due to the crisis. His main medication is no longer available, and we were forced to use an expensive alternative that is ineffective—his condition has worsened significantly.

Today, we face a heartbreaking reality:

12 children in the family are suffering from a lack of food, water, and medicine.

We lack the most basic essentials: clothing, blankets, kitchen supplies, and even safe shelter.

We have been displaced four times so far, and each time has cost us more than we can bear.

We can’t afford to rebuild our home, especially with retirement approaching and children still in university.

We tried to return home after the fighting stopped… but we found it completely destroyed. We couldn’t save anything. Even our memories were buried beneath the rubble.

Today, we are no longer asking to rebuild our house…

We are asking to survive.
