Hello to all my family and friends. The past few months have been very difficult. I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma of my left upper leg bone or femur. Osteosarcoma is a type of bone cancer and most often occurs in the long bones. I had surgery at University of Miami medical center 3 weeks ago . I had 12 inches of bone removed and replaced with cadaver bone and plates to stabilize the leg. There have been many bumps on the road, including blood clots which are now resolved. I am now getting rehabilitation, both Physical and Occupational Therapy. Unfortunately, I can not bear weight on my leg for several months. I am not writing this not to get sympathy, but this is taking a toll financially for myself and my family. As many of you know, I enjoy working and love meeting new people. I love keeping busy which is going to make my limited mobility a challenge. My new job will be meeting this challenge.
Any financial support you can send me will be greatly appreciated.
