John Mark Rousey Legacy Fund

On May 14th a bright light left this earth. John Mark Rousey was not only an incredibly talented Blues Musician who entertained us all , both here in his home town of Eldersburg, Maryland and his second home in Coventry, Connecticutt with his heartfelt words and all out, all the time performances, but also someone who had a huge heart, loved to make people laugh, even at his own expense and would always do anything he could to help others. He was always giving away his old harps to little kids and had a huge place in his heart for Blues Music and helping kids in need, particularly the kids at Hogar de las Estrellas, in Cusco Peru. He always talked about his desire to do more to help people, and make a positive difference in this world, but he lived a humble life as a working musician so his desire to help often exceeded his ability. His family and close friends have decided to set up this fund as a launchpad for a formal non-profit in his name which will support Music programs for disadvantaged youth, the children of Hogar de las Estrellas, the local Blues Societies and other programs for the Arts. Please help us to carry on John's memory in a way that will make him proud.
