Unfortunately, I find myself in a position to ask for help. I have been out of work for over a month and today was told that my job is done. My problem started out with a pain in my lower back and has now moved on to greater things. I have had 2 MRI's and and Ultrasound, I am seeing a Chiro and will be seeing a Neuro Surgeon and Spine Specialist as well as my Primary. I cannot walk standing straight. I am using a cane. The pain has been increasing to the piint where I have crawled to the bathroom and needed help getting back to bed. I don't know what is wrong but I am in hopes that it will be corrected shortly. I am on Social Security and receive Food Stamps. Other than that everything is being shouldered by my son, Dante. I have always prided myself on my work ethic and have done whatever I could to help those in need. Now, it is my turn to ask for help. I have set my goal at $1000 although I will need much more than that. I need a transport chair, a shower seat and other things just to get by everyday. If I need surgery Medicare only pays 80%. At this moment I could not buy a candy bar. Could I ask you to look deep in your heart and pockets and help an old friend? Even $5 would help. When I am back on my feet I will try to repay everyone. Thanks and Merry Christmas. I had to increase my goal, since new things are happening. I have co-pays on tests that were unexpected. I need to buy a bed, since my mattress on the floor is not a good idea, any longer. I need to put up "disabled" items around the apartment - such as bars to grasp in tub. I will be out of work indefinitely and the bills are adding up. anyhelp would be apprciated. Thanks to those who have sent donations and a plea to those who have not - just $1 would help.
