I hate to do this at any point in time, but especially during the holidays.

On the morning of December 22, 2024 my daughter and daughter in law called me to tell me grandpa wasn’t moving or breathing. I told them to try and wake him up and then to wake up grandma, she was sick with the flu and asleep in bed. I told them I am turning around (I was on my way to church) and I hung up and called 911. Our dad/husband/grandpa/brother/son and brother in law, had passed away early this Sunday morning.

He had some health issues that he and my mom were trying to figure out and had been going to multiple different doctors to figure things out, however him passing this soon was never in the scope of possibilities with everything going on.

We are all at a loss. But especially my mom. His wife. He unfortunately did not have life insurance or anything set up in the event of his passing so I’m sure you can imagine the stress this is causing my family/my mom. With trying to pay for a funeral and still stay above water with bills. And worse that it’s around Christmas.

If you knew our dad, Michael then you know the type of man he was. He had a very small circle of friends but he held them so very close to his heart. But he was there for everyone. I swear this man would have gone bankrupt/homeless trying to help the people around him. He loved and cared for my mom fiercely! Cared more about her health and well being than he did his own. Up to and including taking her to the hospital just two days before he passed because she has been so sick. He loved his daughters and cared so much for his grandkids. They drove him bat shit crazy at times but he loved them none the less. If there is any way that you can help us lay him to rest and help ease some of the stress during this difficult time we would be beyond appreciative. Even just a share of this post. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
