Hope for Sharon

Dear Friends;  Let me tell you a story about an amazing woman, who has been battling cancer for almost 11 years.  When she was first diagnosed in Dec 2008, she was only given about 6 weeks to 3 months to live.  But God had other plans for her.  During the last 10 years she started a non-profit - Fighting Cancer, Inc - which delivers Sunshine Boxes to those who have been diagnosed with cancer on their first day of chemo.  Sharon Grammer has touched so many lives with her story, sharing her heart and her faith with those who are struggling with cancer, and those of us who have come to know her over the years.

 She has had 5 re-occurrences during the past 10 years.  This last one she has been battling since 2014. She has been told that she has run out of options here in Charlotte.  So, she traveled to MD Anderson in Houston, TX to see what new trials may be available to her.  There is hope for Sharon there - there is a trial that would be perfect for her - even her own Dr said she should do this trial.  There is only one drawback - she would have to move to Houston for a year - away from her family, as they have jobs and responsibilities here.  God has opened so many doors for her to make this possible and she really feels this is what God wants for her.  

Here is where we need your help - Sharon has been a blessing to so many people - now it is time for us to be a blessing to her.  We need to raise about $30,000 to help cover  medical needs, travel and caregiver expenses.  Etc.
  
This is all time sensitive as she will be leaving for Texas on April 6th and we need to have funds in place for her, or the commitment for the monthly donation to Hope Cancer Retreat

Let us all pull together and bless this wonderful woman who has done so much for us and the cancer community.  She needs our help now.
