Vayya, my radiant and loving goddaughter, adoring and devoted mother of two young teenagers and two young adult daughters, affectionate wife and visionary lover of life has very recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer... out of the blue.
Vayya’s oncologist informed her that chemo, radiation and surgery have not been shown to be helpful once the disease has progressed to Stage 4.
Because, according to her oncologist, Vayya's condition is not “curable” by Western Medicine, she is being offered a protocol to extend her life and keep her "comfortable" for as long as possible. Of course we are looking into second opinions and all possible “curative” options.
Vayya is almost relieved that she "gets a pass" on chemo, radiation and surgery because, by her very nature, she prefers to heal herself through natural / alternative approaches... some of which have impressively positive statistics.
Costs for the uninsured treatments will require massive out-of-pocket spending, which she must get started on immediately.
Aside from her breast cancer, Vayya is a healthy, energetic, and brilliant woman who will turn 49 on the next new moon, January 12. She has always maintained a very wholesome life style, eating well, exercising, meditating and sustaining a positive mindset and deeply loving relationships.
All who know, love, and honor Vayya (especially Kirin & Komala, her teenagers who still very much need her wise and nurturing guidance in their lives) are certain she can 'course correct' this challenge, but she needs financial help that will enable her to choose and implement the most effective options.
