Working as a dance teacher, educator, and choreographer has encouraged me to do my best at keeping the arts alive here in Upstate, SC for Artists, Hobbyists, and the Community. But, now, more than ever, I need your help.
I’ve partnered with local public schools, dance studios, and Arts venues to produce art for the community; an opportunity to see, and know, Greenville, South Carolina has its’ own command of Artistic Sustenance. Through my Art and artistic endeavors, I will help continue to the growth of Greenville’s Artistic Prowess.
Vaughn Newman Dance – VND, a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization, and “The Studio” are derivatives of this movement. We exist only to create and partner with you, our participants and supporters, and continue the experience of our creations. 3906 Augusta Road, Greenville, SC is “The Studio” and the new home of VND. “The Studio” affords opportunities to train as a professional dancer, take advantage of “Drop-In” classes, and serves as an outlet for youths of the community to be exposed to the Performing Arts. VND, a professional dance company, is the facilitator of Arts in Community - literally “Dancing in the Streets.”
The Great Alvin Ailey once said, “Dance is for everybody. I believe that the dance came from the people and that it should always be delivered back to the people.”
Partner with us, with me, and contribute to this cause. Help us deliver dance and the arts back to the people. Now is the time to make an impact and contribute to further establishment of this movement: Vaughn Newman Dance - VND & “The Studio.”
To be fully prepared for our grand opening we need to purchase a few more items: dance marley, ballet barres, additional mirrors, paint and supplies. Contributions will cover the costs of these items and the implementation of the Vaughn Newman Dance Scholarship. The scholarship is available to students and pre-professional dancers to offset the costs of summer arts programs and dance intensives.
