Please help! Our historic meeting hall, the Vaughn Library Hall, was seriously damaged when a hit and run driver smashed a car into its corner. The driver fled. The car knocked the building off its foundation, seriously damaging floor and wall framing, one of the new, historically accurate windows, as well as all the new historically accurate wall finishes! We have been restoring the Hall, listed on two historical registers, for many years and, in an instant, this crash has destroyed countless hours of work and decades of history.
Repairs are urgent and will be extensive. Currently, the sheriff's office does not yet know who is accountable to pay for these repairs so we are left with the bill! We are a non-profit with very limited resources, including insurance, so PLEASE help by making a contribution. It is urgent we begin to make repairs as quickly as possible; we are committed to preserving this important historic resource.
