On the morning of Thursday, December 10th, Pendleton High School’s graduating class of 2000 lost one of its own. Tragically, Vaughn Hamby passed away unexpectedly after suffering a heart-related trauma. Vaughn was well known for his charisma, positivity, and concern for others. He is someone whose love for family and silliness compelled others to want to be around him, to experience his unmatched authenticity.
Vaughn’s care for his 8 year-old son, Daltin, was always paramount. As such, this GoFundMe has been set up to support Daltin in this time of loss and beyond. Specifically, all funds contributed to this GoFundMe will be placed into a trust that Daltin will be able to access when he turns 18. Daltin will be able to use these funds to further his education, and/or to pay for education-related expenses such as housing and books. If Daltin chooses to enter the military or pursue another vocation, the funds will be used to help support him in these endeavors. Vaughn’s father Bill, will serve as beneficiary of the trust until Daltin is 18 years of age.
