Help pay for rent and groceries

Hello everyone. Last night, PayPal decided it had enough of me making money for them and falsely accused me of selling "sexual content" on their platform.

Those of you who have followed my work for even a small amount of time will know that I do not draw NSFW, or "adult" content. Unfortunately, regardless of the lack of truth to these allegations: PayPal is able to do whatever they want for essentially whatever reason they can think of. They are able to freeze my account and hold my hard earned funds for half a year with little to no recourse left open to me. They've not given me an avenue for appeal, and although I am trying to resolve this with them through emailing their customer support: I don't have high expectations on the matter.

What this means for me and my business is that I will need to look for an alternate payment processor and most likely update my site to be able to invoice and pay commissions directly through it. I have a couple leads at the moment but nothing that is for sure. Each of them have their own pros and cons and regardless of the choice, this will take time to implement and that's the biggest problem I face right now.

Rent comes due. The fridge runs out of food. The bottom line for me is that I cannot get paid right now no matter how hard I work. We don't know how long it will take to sort things out for me to be able to open commissions again. It could be a few days, weeks, or the rest of the year. And so, the chances of me actually getting paid this month are incredibly low.

For those who know me, you know I'm not a begging person. I do my very best to ensure I work for everything I've got. I don't like taking handouts, so it hurts to write this. I've spent the last 12 hours or so as a complete emotional wreck because, for me, this is my life. PayPal was my only source of income and it has been suddenly pulled out from under me.

So, I swallow my pride, and ask you all: If you've got anything to spare this holiday season, please consider donating so that me and my wife can continue to have a roof over our heads and food in our bellies.
