Varun Yelluru's Eagle Project

Hello! My name is Varun Yelluru and I am a Life Scout from Troop 273 located in Union City. I will be building two hexagonal benches around trees at Ardenwood Elementary School in Fremont, CA. I am working with the Ardenwood Go Green Club and Mr. Loisel, my beneficiary, to execute my project. As a former student at Ardenwood and a long-time member of the Go Green Club, I am delighted to be able to give back to my school.

My project will provide much-needed mass seating for the students at Ardenwood. With almost 1000 students, seating is often just not enough. My benches would provide seating for up to 30 people at a time, would be under the shade of trees, and are designed for students in grades 4-6. In addition, my project is very durable and would last for years to come. Overall, my project would be extremely beneficial to Ardenwood Elementary School.

 

Because of the complexity of my project and the various materials it requires (redwood, pressure-treated lumber, screws, paint, brushes, cement mix, tools, and other supplies), I am requesting $400. All the money would go solely to project-related costs. I appreciate any contributions and any/ all donations would be appreciated.
