My name is Rich Hungerford and I assist men of all ages to optimise their lives through an organisation I established called 'The Warrior's Path Academy. Often men battle self worth issues, goal & direction confusion, depression, PTSD, substance abuse and the collapse of their well being in total isolation.

It is as though society demands that they never display weakness nor seek assistance. To do so represents failure and incompetence. The Warrior's Path Academy seeks to reacquaint men with a balanced and healthy sense of self and intrinsic competence.

One group of men I particularly work with are Military and First Responder Veterans. Many of these individuals are experiencing significant life crises as they battle with traumatic emotions and transition stresses including a loss of self identity as they seperate from the military or other professional roles.

Often their situations spiral out of control, their home life collapses and they wind up living rough on the street or in other emergency forms of temporary accommodation. These individuals in most cases simply need a leg up, a base of operations and a safe place. They need the chance to start again. They are capable of doing it with a little support.

To assist these men to restart/reboot their lives in conjunction with other modalities of support I intend to purchase a number of second hand caravans for use as mobile emergency accommodation options for veterans and men in distress.

This facility extends to their families in the event that a family is impacted with a sudden lack of accommodation.

Why caravans? Simple, I can move these around from location to location within South East Queensland on an as needed basis to allow a distressed man to remain in a familiar area, be close to work, family and other vital support networks but remain autonomous. That self of self reliance is essential in reigniting a man's sense of worth. When he is totally dependent on charity to get by he is likely to remain a 'victim' of life. I don not support this approach at all. I see a totally different mindset and consequent outcome in the men I support by breaking them out of victim states of mind and back into a powerful sense of self responsibility.

When they do it themselves, they own their decisions, actions and attitudes. They put themselves back in charge of their own lives and take extreme ownership of their future. This inherently empowers them in a beneficial direction. They become once again better fathers, better partners, better members of the community. This is in direct contrast to perceiving themselves as rubbish, trash, useless and discarded.

Help me rebuild our men today by helping to help them kick start a new life direction.  When you support me in purchasing caravans, I will ensure that men in need, access that level of support.

Thank you in advance for caring about Australian men and taking action to course correct the unfolding epidemic of increasing rates of male suicide, depression and mental dysfunction. Thank you for helping to serve those who have served Australia in particular.

Kind regards,

Rich Hungerford
