Hello,

My name is Oscar Nicholson and this is Vanilla Slice (2025), a short film about the different paths we take in life and the bitter-sweet reality of having to face the future.

My film was born last year, shortly after I'd returned to Australia. It took a couple months to write, followed by a lot of pre-production planning, and a stellar team to put it all together.

Six months later the film was shot over four days... And we're still not finished!

That's where you come in.

We're asking for any amount, any contribution, to help us with:

•⁠ ⁠Reshoots—we have the bulk of what we need, but were on a tight schedule and focused on our primary shot-list. Reshoots will serve to capture establishing shots and b-roll footage to fill the gaps in the storytelling.

•⁠ ⁠Marketing and Distribution fees—submitting to festivals, holding private test screenings, raising awareness online via social media and engaging in other forums are just a few ways to build buzz and reach our target audience.

•⁠ ⁠Administration Costs—purchasing software licenses and registering with the Australian Writer's Guild.
