Hello my name is Catrin Lara, my husband Ruben is an active duty Soldier in the United States Army. Our son Oren who is 15 years old has spastic cerebral palsy. He has overcome lots of obstacles and to this day he's had over 25 surgeries and other procedures.We were always able to accommodate for every need he has. We never qualified for SSI, disability or any other government assistance. And solely dependent on my husbands income to cover whatever our insurance didn't pay for . And although this is not easy for us to admit but we need help to get a wheelchair accessible mini van so that we can transport our son with his power chair .
Our plan is to buy a minivan but the modification cost $27,000 and our insurance is not covering this cost so adding to the cost of the van it will be close to $60,000
