A HANDICAP VAN FOR BOSH!
Donation protected
MOVING is an activity that Chris Boshar lost on 7/2/11. He lost all mobility, something we all take for granted – wiping a tear, blowing your nose, scratching an itch – and the list goes on. Chris fell off the family boat and hit the sand, breaking his neck at C4/5. Chris’s life changed that day, and he is making the best out of this brutal injury! The journey has been both financially and emotionally exhausting. His current van is old and doesn't fit his wheelchair properly, and he broke his leg trying to exit the van recently - hence the reason for a new van.
A lot of good and perhaps not-so-good things have happened. Chris has had surgeries, pressure sores, COVID, and other medical issues, but with his tremendous inner strength, he got by it all - quite an inspiring survivor. HE NEVER ONCE COMPLAINED OR ASKED ‘Why me?” Chris lives independently and works for a friend from college. He enjoys his companion - Q, an English Lab!
While he faces many financial issues, the most significant need is to replace an old van that is no longer safe for Chris.
DONATE. Please consider a gift in any amount. Chris values every dollar donated to the effort to help him live the best life possible. It’s an uncomfortable position to acknowledge the need for help and then accept it. Thank you for your consideration.
