Hello :) My name is Stephanie. I am Avaiahs mother and full time caregiver. Avaiah is a victim of child abuse and survivor of Shaken Baby Syndrome. The emotional and physical stress of raising a child with a severe disbality is real and intense but, without a doubt, she has turned our lives around for the better. Avaiah turned 12 in March and as she grows, so do her needs. We have been blessed to have a majority of her equipment paid for by her insurance but they do not assist with home or vehicle modifications and these are the issues we are running into as she becomes a young woman. We want Avaiah to live a life that is efficient and fulfilling and we are asking for your help. We have put it off for as long as we can but the time has come that we need a wheelchair accessible van for safety and ergonomic reasons. I have had to cut back on my work hours because of frequent illnesses and doctor appointments which makes it difficult to save up for a down payment. So we are asking our community to come together for our little girl. She has blessed our lives (and many of you) in so many ways and we just want to give her the best life possible. These vans are priced from $25,000-$40,000 and we are just asking for some assistance with a down payment.  A dollar alone would mean the world to our little family. Thank you all. XOXO
