VanNessa's stolen film equipment
VanNessa doesn't know we're doing this. She'd be too proud to do this herself so we're doing this for her.
At the risk of sounding like a eulogy, VanNessa is a person who is kind-hearted and always helping others. And she has worked hard and continues to work her way up; she's had nothing handed to her. She is also a rare bird, a woman of color in a male-dominated world of cinematography. Recently someone broke into her car and stole all her film equipment, the tools of her trade.

"VanNessa Manlunas is a young emerging talent in the world of Cinematography. Graduating with a degree in Video Production, VanNessa stood out from the beginning and was honored with the Best Cinematographer Award in her graduation class. Post college she continued to master her craft and climb through the male dominated ranks of Cinematography. She later joined the Assistant Camera Union which provided her with a wealth of experience working with the world's top some of the Directors of Photography including Eric Steelberg, Shane Hurlbut, and on a few occasions Rodrigo Priot and Paul Cameron. She has been privileged enough to work on numerous commercials creating a strong reputation vital in her career shift to Director of Photography for films.
VanNessa brings her passion and female perspective to her work, giving voice to women in storytelling and in the film industry. And she recently was honored as an Emerging Cinematographer by the International Cinematographers Guild."
