Wow, we reached our initial goal of $7250, and it all happened so quickly! I can't thank you enough and the Glews are overwhelmed with your generosity. Today we got the new price lists for the sauna and the US dollar conversion means we still have a little ways to go. So let's not stop here. Let's reach for the stars.
Alternative treatments and medicines are expensive. If we can raise enough funds it allows the Glews to purchase the new home ozone sauna. The funds will also allow for other opportunities which would be normally be out of reach and only offered in the UK, China or Ecuador (that's where I received treatment). So, I'm doubling the goal to help get Vanessa more of what she needs! Quantum physics treatments alone are approximately $6000.00 plus travel costs. Together we can make a miracle possible. Vanessa is giving it her all so we can too!
Hi, I'm Annette Swanson a friend Heather Steele and Dean Darwent (Dean used to work with Cory). They introduced me to Vanessa Glew, and after sharing Vanessa's story of stage 4 terminal cancer, I had to introduce Vanessa to my ozone sauna, as a treatment to improve her health.
Vanessa's journey started in 2013 and like many others included chemotherapy, over 9 surgeries, and non-traditional treatments like cannabis oil. For the past year she's been lucky to hold the cancer at bay. What she is doing is not enough. Additional growth has occurred in her liver and abdominal wall, so it's off for more chemotherapy.
In order to fight the disease aggressively, the sauna gives it a dose of what it hates. Cancer can't live in an oxygen rich environment and does not like heat. It helps inflammation and kills virus's, that can make Vanessa very sick, due to a compromised immune system. The ozone raises the white cell count, after chemotherapy and helps ease the pain.
This brings me to why we have started this Go Fund Me page. The money raised will go to alternative medicines and treatments and with the intent for the Glew's to purchase their own ozone sauna to help Vanessa get all the benefits and for her to reach her goal of seeing her daughters grade 12 graduation, attend more of her boys hockey games, and seeing them grow into fine young men.
Time is of the essence, so our goal to raise the funds is by early spring, 2017.
In the short time I've known Vanessa and her family, we have grown a bond. I too am a 2 time survivor of breast cancer, who knows the value of combining alternative treatments, with the traditional approach.
As from the family picture posted you can see Vanessa's smile, one of strength, but most of all one that truly has a huge heart; full of thanks of which would be impossible to thank everyone for all the driving, cooking, taking the kids to give her some quiet time, "and just being around for her". A huge thanks goes out to Cory her husband who's dedication and love has been a life saver. This page took some convincing, as the Glew's are a proud family and find it hard to ask for help. Vanessa hope is that the Go Fund Me will help others who are searching for treatment options to gain a little more insight into the benefits of ozone. It's also to raise awareness to question the doctors, get a second opinion and check out alternative options until you know you have found what is right for you.
Vanessa and Cory met in high school, and Vanessa's huge crush paid off as they have been together 24 years, married for 16 years and are raising three amazing children, Sierra age 15, Ryken 13 and Teryn age 11, with a birthday coming up in January. Not an easy task for anyone, but try to take a step for a day into their lives with hospital trips, kids active in sports, hockey, swimming, helping relatives, being a mom taxi, moving to accommodate special schooling for Sierra, and most importantly trying to be an involved mom!
There are some things we can't change, but I truly believe there is a cure for cancer out there, and until the time comes, I'm so grateful to be able to share my sauna with Vanessa. Another tool to help ease the stress, pain and get the health benefits, to help extend a life, see goals come true and make more memories like the amazing trip to Disneyland the family and extended family made.
