Hi, I am Vanessa and a junior at Friday Harbor High School. For my junior community project I will be replacing 8 outdoor benches on the outside of the school where middle school and high school students sit between classes, eat lunch and do homework outside. My goal is to update the space to better serve the school community and improve the overall look and quality of the outdoor space. It is important to me to improve the quality of the current seating and in doing so would make the seats safer to sit at and more welcoming to students. *A note from Purple & Gold: Vanessa is a student athlete at FHHS and a consistent volunteer for our school programs. As a non profit, we support Vanessa's school project and will dispersing donations to her to pay for the supplies needed for her 2025 community project.
