On Tuesday May 24th, a young mother and her sweet 3yr old daughter were involved in a horrific Amtrak collision that took both their young lives. Vanessa Henriquez and little Saidy were on their way to pick up big brother Luis when, they were slammed head-on, by an Amtrak passenger train after her car got stuck in the middle of the rails, in San Leandro California.
Vanessa was a wonderful dedicated mother who worked tirelessly taking care of her toddler daughter Saidy and autistic 8 year old son Luis. Vanessa was the heart of her family and her baby girl Saidy brought joy to everyone who met her. Vanessa and Saidy are survived by husband Lorenzo and son Luis. Both are distraught and trying to make sense of this horrific accident. Many people have asked how they can help. This fund has been set up to cover with burial expenses and help the family get through this unforeseen tragedy. No amount is too small and the family will be forever grateful.

Vanessa Henríquez iba con su pequeña hija Saidy Henríquez de camino a la escuela a recoger a su hijo mayor de ocho años Luis, cuando fueron impactadas de frente luego que su vehículo quedara atrapado en las líneas del tren en San Leandro California.
Vanessa era una madre maravillosa y dedicada, que trabajó incansablemente cuidando a su hija Saidy y a su hijo Luis quien fue diagnosticado con autismo a la edad de dos años.
