Vandaad's long hair story

As you may know, Vandaad has been growing his hair since he was 5 years old. This was something he decided when finding out that some children who aren’t well losing their hair through treatment.

Knowing that some children are suffering he asked how we can help. We explained that people help by donating funds, supporting with a helping hand and some people even donating their hair. When hearing this, he decided that he would like to grow his hair to donate.

Growing his hair over the last 3 years has been at times challenging, Vandaad was subject to name calling and being mistaken for a girl. Although this affected him and at times got him down, he never gave up on his goal.

Because this was something Vandaad decided to do through love and affection, he has chosen to cut and donate his hair on Valentine’s Day.

When a child loses their hair to cancer, a free real hair wig will help restore their confidence and identity.
