I haven’t always had the best relationship with my dad. In fact we could go years without talking. Addiction is a horrible thing to deal with as both child and parent. The past few years my dads health has been declining. Over a year ago I had to put my dad into a nursing home because of the affects of it. I got a call to make the decision to prolong a life that would be miserable and I’m constant pain or make the choice to just keep measures of comfort. He at one point had a life insurance policy for me to use to help fund end of life care but because I had to put him in a nursing home the funds were used up for that. From the bottom of my heart it’s hard to even ask for a cent but I have been put in a situation I’d never put my worst enemy in. I am just asking to raise enough funds to make his final wishes come true.
