On April 12, 2025, Oliver (Oli) Vedder suffered an ischemic stroke which resulted in significant lifetime deficits. Oli was 58 at the time, married to Tammy with two adult children. He was employed as Grocery Manager for Freshco. He spent months in hospital, suffered several complications, but was eventually transferred to a Long Term Care Home on September 11th. His current status is complete left sided paralysis. He has regained his ability to speak and swallow.

Oli has been left with numerous challenges which will continue (with ongoing financial needs), but something which has given him great joy is being able to go along on van trips arranged by the care home. Because Oli is in a wheelchair and the care facility van is limited with the number of wheelchairs it can accommodate, demand exceeds availability which limits his opportunities to participate.

For Tammy to be able to purchase a van with a wheelchair lift would result in immediate benefits by enriching Oli's quality of life. This GoFundMe is being set up to enable that to become a reality.
