Hi, this is Van Batts and Toney Jenkins, and this is our story. We had a house fire, but mostly it was in the back of our apartment, which was badly affected. There is smoke damage everywhere and also water damage that ruined most of our furniture. We are living, and that's all that counts. We had to move out of the house because of the smoke damage, and by Toney having breathing problems, we couldn't live there, so we had to move to a hotel. We're doing pretty good, and we're making it, thank God. Everything was gracefully successful. My neighbors weren't hurt, and that was wonderful. God is good. Everyone was out, and sometimes you just need a little helping hand. We'll probably be here a couple more days; we're looking for another place to live. It's frustrating, but we have to do whatever we have to do. By the grace of God, things happen. We don't know why, but they happen for a reason. We're praying that everything goes well, and we have trust in the Lord. We're grateful that everything did not get destroyed, and we're going to move on.
