Van needed to get equipment to palliative patients
Shannon’s Bridge is an incredible not-for-profit service that was founded by Jeremy, who lost his beautiful daughter to cancer at just 19 years old. Shannon didn’t want to pass away in a hospital, she wanted to be home where she belonged...
Their mission is to provide all of the necessary medical equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs/mobility and medical aids that are essential for palliative patients who’s wishes are to receive their end of life care in their own homes. They do all of this for free!
The work these volunteers do for the patient’s& their families during their darkest days is remarkable. They will forever hold a very specialplace in my heart.
Jeremy, Claire and the team provided palliative services for my Darling Nan who passed away in February this year at 73. They provided mechanical equipment, hospital beds, treatments, therapies, simple assistance aids for daily tasks that became very difficult as her illness progressed. It made our lives much easier, whilst caring for Nan and trying to process what was happening too.
The passion, generosity, love and commitmentthey have poured into this organisation is so rare. Whilst Jeremy grieves the loss his daughter every day, he and the team are still there to do anything they can for the people who are soon to be faced with a loss just like him.
Now, more than ever, I want to be able to somehow return my thanks not just with words but with something they really need. As the work they are providing has really reached those far and wide around the country, they desperately need a transport vehicle to be able to get all of this medical equipment to those who really need it.
Please help me to donate anything you can so they are able to buy a Van like the one in the picture. They want anything they are given, but I want to get them a new one that will last for many years to come, and reach many patients who need them! They are around $68,000+ New.
All donations go direct to the charity.
Let’s get them on the road!
