Jonathan and Karen Van Hecke live in Bonny Doon with their 2 children, Suki and JJ.  Karen is a high school teacher in Santa Cruz County and Jonathan is a very dear friend and coworker of mine at Stanford Hospital in the MRI dept..  They were recently devastated by the news that their home fell victim to the wildfires that are still burning in Santa Cruz County.  His family needs your help right now!  After hearing orders of evacuation they weren't expecting, they grabbed what they could and headed to safety, not being able to take much at all.  I implore you all to reach into your hearts and help this wonderful family who has lost so much.  Jonathan's brother lived across the street from him and has lost his house as well, so these two brothers have experienced this unspeakable tragedy together.  As a family, I know they will survive and come out even stronger, but it would be great if we can provide just a little help and hope during these trying times.  We hope this fund will help alleviate some of the challenges that they will face as they move forward and try to rebuild their lives.  Thank you to everyone who is able to support them during this incredibly difficult time.
