My friend, Helen Lowe, is an courageous and amazing single mom who is working hard to put herself through nursing school (with straight A's, by the way) in order to support her 6 kids.

Lately, she hasn't been able to catch a break.  When it rains, it pours. Not long after spending thousands of dollars (that she didn't have) to replace the transmission  on her old van, a tree fell on it. The money she sunk into the new transmission was more than she is getting from the insurance company.

I would like to ask, on her behalf, that we pitch in and help her get a vehicle that will replace the one that got totalled. If you have a little extra that you could spare to help a deserving mom and an amazing family, please help her out. We have to help each other when things get rough.

I'm trying to raise $7 to 10K so that, along with the insurance money, she might be able to buy a used van that could get her through until nursing school is over and she's on her feet.
