Van Black

Hi, I am fundraising for Van Black. This man has lost so much in the last few years. It started in August 2020 when he lost his wife, He was trying to put his life back together and in September 2022 he went in for a hip replacement. On September 16th, 2022 he was taken to the hospital for a blockage, he had to have emergency surgery but unfortunately, he became septic. They lost him a couple of times on the table and were able to revive him. They had to intubate him, but by the grace of God, he made it through. Van has an amazing fight in him! He underwent several surgeries after and the result was he lost his large intestine and colon and now has a colostomy bag for life. His Kidneys were shutting down and had to have dialysis as well as a tracheostomy. He finally was able to have the tracheotomy removed and was sent home after months in the hospital, with in-home care.

Now comes the Logan County fires! Van was affected and lost his water pump house, many vehicles, Storage building and all the belongings, his 5th wheel and most of his home. The Sheriff's office had to come to get Van out of his home last night. He stayed in a hotel which cannot be a perminate solution, as he needs a lot of care he cannot take care of himself and has nowhere to go at this time.

As I am writing this I just got a phone call they are taking him to the emergency room his nurse came out and his potassium level is at 2.6 and anything under 3 can cause heart failure and other problems. This poor man just cannot catch a break.

Due to all that has gone on, I would like to raise money to help him with the enormous medical bills he has incurred, he has no income or means to get any at this time. He also needs so much help not just with his health at this point but with cleaning up his property and rebuilding so he has a safe place to live.

I am asking anyone who can help financially or physically to please donate If you would like to donate your time please reach out to me I will be getting with Van to coordinate times for people to go to his place to start helping clean up the destruction the fire has caused. We also need anyone with trucks or trailers to help haul things off his property.

I asked him if I could put this together for him and he really hates asking for help or putting anyone out, but humbly agreed because he knows he just needs as much help, thoughts and prayers at this point as we can give him.

I would also like it if anyone would like to donate items and we could do a large garage sale to raise some money or do a pool tournament or any other ideas that anyone can come up with and help raise money for him.
