Valuing Our Veterans

I am Young Marine Staff Sergeant Righthouse from the Miramar Young Marines. I am 11 years old. The Young Marines is a national program for youth 8-18 years of age. Among other values, the Young Marines teaches leadership, responsibility and respect. 

I am starting a project called Valuing our Veterans. My purpose is to honor our military veterans. I am raising funds to purchase 20 foot aircraft grade aluminum flag poles, complete with a United States Flag and a Military Service flag. The flagpoles will be installed at the homes of US veterans, free of charge, by Young Marines volunteering their time. 

100% of the donations will go towards the purchase and installation, of the flagpoles.  Each flagpole, with installation cost approximately 250 dollars. 

This program will show that we care about our veterans. It will also teach Young Marines about patriotism, leadership, dedication and commitment.
