Hi, My name is Lucia and I'm raising money for my brother Valter Santos.

Valter has been battling this cancer for over 5 years and has undergone numerous surgeries. A laryngectomy is a surgery to remove all or part of your larynx (voice box). It is done to treat laryngeal cancer or severe larynx damage. People who undergo a laryngectomy can still have a good quality of life but they must learn new ways to breathe, speak and swallow. Unfortunately, Valter's cancer came back and once again he has been in treatment since January and he is presently awaiting another surgical procedure.

We can all imagine how costly the hospital bills become after 5 years, so I am reaching out to our family and friends to donate whatever they can spare towards his medical bills.
