Val’s Gourmet Baked Goods needs a new home

Hello everyone, you know us as Val & Art Jackson or Val’s Gourmet Baked Goods. We would love to stay in little Washington after all of the support that you and the surrounding cities have given us through the pandemic and the Main Street renovation. You have supported us while we were in the Harbor District Market and even the Leroy James Farmers Market in Greenville, and even on a street corner. However

, we must move from our current location based in the Historic Turnage Theater to a new location so that the Turnage can provide you with art education classes. We would love to remain here in Washington to provide you with our tasty cakes and treats, be that cake place that you love to visit during the week on a stressful day and be that place you come to before leaving for the weekends . We want to continue to be the place you come to for a slice or impromptu party cake, be that go -to place for birthdays, wedding and anniversary cakes and be that bakery that puts a smile on your face, or makes your jaws drop , or be that place that puts a smile on your child’s or grandchild’s face. The problem is that there are no available grants or funds to help us move at this time to a location that best serves you and your families. Our goal is to raise funds in order to first move to another location based here in Washington, build a website so that we can ship our cakes nationwide to your loved ones , family or friends, create a space that is conducive to your ongoing needs, keep four small businesses afloat and keep our most valued employees in a job that they love doing. COVID has interrupted everyone’s lives and we don’t want the loss of our lease at the Turnage to be a factor that interrupts yours any further. So, If you love Val’s Gourmet Baked Goods ( because we love you) and you feel in your heart that we are the bakery for you and your needs, please donate so that we can continue to be that go-to bakery for Little Washington and the surrounding areas.

We could not have gotten this far without your unwavering support and kindness . We are gaining more and more new customers each day through word of mouth alone and we appreciate you for that.
